Corten Steel Robins

Two robins on a branch, cut from 3mm corten steel. The branch ends in a long spike that is simply hammered into a beam, tree or post, so the birds sit out from the timber as though they have landed there. Like all corten steel, the surface weathers and deepens in colour over the seasons, so the piece settles differently in every setting.

Please note: your robins arrive as dark, unweathered metal. Left out in the weather, they will rust gradually over the coming months, deepening to the warm red-brown you can see in the photographs — no two pieces ageing quite alike.
